Taking place from April 6 to April 27, this is the Sports Games with many "records" with 11 content competitions (Athletics, Aerobics, Chess, Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball, Men's soccer field, Women's Football, Men's Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis and E-Sport), bringing together nearly 1,000 athletes, 151 instructors, coaches of 10 universities , subordinate units participate in the competition. Especially this year's Sports Games has 53 athletes who are foreign students studying at Danang University, the first time to organize E-Sport (the sport that will be held in 30th Sea games in Philippines) very successfully, attracting a large number of students to participate. The facilities are invested, upgraded, improved significantly such as running roads with synthetic resin for Athletics, artificial grass field for football ... thus contributing to improving the quality of competition and safety, no serious injuries occured to athletes.

With close attention and direction, sports teams have well prepared their forces, beautiful costumes, more professional in training and competition. The investor invited qualified coaches to improve their professionalism (there are 02 records of high professional achievement in running 100m for male and dancing for female). The organizers also invited the national referees to run competitions such as men's soccer, aerobics, so that the Sports Games did not occur frauds and complaints, ensuring compliance with the award and fairness, honesty as the criteria of the Sports Games.

Along with careful preparation and team spirit, determination in each match, each content of competition, athletes of the University of Economics have had outstanding victories in women's volleyball disciplines, women's football, longball and table tennis. Although the format and content of the competition have many changes such as: abandoning women's basketball, men's soccer in the form of 11 people instead of 7 people as before, many sports are in E-sports content so that new students encounter many challenges in accessing the Games... however the athletes overcome difficulties to bring the DUE sports team to the second place. This is also an encouraging achievement as well as a worthy result for the preparation and practice of the University of Economics sports team. At the end of the Sports Games, the first prize belongs to the Sports Union of the University of Technology, with 309 points (12 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 6 bronze medals), the second prize of the whole team belongs to the Sports Union of the University of Economics with 252 points (12 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 9 bronze medals), the third prize belongs to the University of Science and Education with 211 points (6 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 11 bronze medals), respectively ranked from 4th place to 7th Place were Sports Associations: University of Foreign Language Studies,University of Technology and Education, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and Faculty of Information Technology.
