Opening ceremony of International student dormitory at the University of Economics – The University of Danang

Along with the joy of welcoming teachers' day, on the morning of November 20, 2018, teachers and students of the University of Economics – The University of Da Nang welcomed one of the key works of the school: International student dormitory. Attending the inauguration of the International Student Dormitory was Mr. Intha Vongphachanh - Deputy General Consul of Laos, Assoc.Prof Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Director of Da Nang University, Prof. Tran Van Nam, former Director of the University of Danang, representative of University of Economics – The University of Da Nang, leaders of faculties, divisions and centers belonging to the university, with Laos Students of University of Economics – The University of Da Nang.

Sending greetings to the students of the school, Assoc.Prof Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Director of Danang University said that the University of Economics – The University of Da Nang has done very well at caring for students, especially international students. Over the past years, with the efforts of the University of Economics – The University of Da Nang, many works for study, research and living for lecturers and students have been put to use, create trust in the quality of training as well as spacious, modern facilities for parents and international students.

Located in the dormitory of the school, international student dormitory has 5 floors with 36 rooms, which are full of modern facilities that meet more than 200 accommodation for students. Besides the dormnitories also provide students with shared kitchen and a comfortable, luxurious canteen. Started from December 2016 and put into use in August, 1818, international student dormitories are important works that show the solidarity between the two countries Vietnam - Laos.

Speaking at the inauguration, Assoc.Prof Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of the University affirmed that University of Economics – The University of Da Nang has been one of the reliable addresses in Vietnam for the overseas students of Laos to study and do research. Therefore, the school continuously interested and directed closely so that departments, divisions and centers can support the maximum of Lao students, creating the best conditions for living and accommodation for overseas students to study and research.

Expressing the joy of witnessing his students living in the new place, Mr. Intha Vongphachanh deeply thanked the Government of Vietnam, the University of Danang as well as the staffs, students of University of Economics – The University of Da Nang. The Lao Consulate also did not forget to instruct the Lao students who are always trying their best to study and practice morality and continue to improve their skills so that they can build up the country in the future.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate International student dormitory

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, delegates visited the international student dormitory. The Lao students expressed their excitement when moving to a new, spacious, modern and comfortable new home and thanked the attention and assistance of the staff, students in the school.
