Lotte group awards scholarship to 5 students of University of Economics

On the morning of April 11th, 2018, at the meeting hall E of University of Economics – University of Da Nang, Lotte Group held a Scholarship Award Ceremony for talented students of University of Economics and University of Foreign Language Studies.
Attending the ceremony, there were the presence of Mr. Lee Jung Wook - Director of Lotte Scholarship Foundation; Mr. Park Suk Won - CEO of Lotte Duty Free in Vietnam; Assoc. Prof. Dr Dao Huu Hoa – Vice Rector of University of Economics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Quoc Cuong – Vice Rector of University of Foreign Language Studies, representatives of Student Affairs Department of two universities and the students.
At the ceremony, Lotte Group has awarded 15 scholarships worth up to 3,000 USD, in which 07 scholarships awarded to students with excellent academic achievements, 05 scholarships for students who are underprivileged and 03 scholarships for students with great potentials to meet the recruitment requirements of Lotte Group in the future. The University of Economics –University of Da Nang has 5 students who received this scholarship.
Sharing about the contributions that Lotte Group would like to bring to Vietnam's young generation, Mr. Lee Jung Wook said, "Those who are present at the ceremony today have the right to be proud that you are the representatives for the future of Vietnam. The Lotte Scholarship Foundation will always make efforts in supporting the education of Vietnam, nurturing future talents as well as strengthening the Vietnam-Korea friendship".
In response to what businesses in general and Lotte Group in particular have done to support the poor students to overcome their adversities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Huu Hoa – Vice Rector of University of Economics has expressed the deepest gratitude towards the contributions of the Group. "The scholarship will assist students to move forward and serve as a source of encouragement for them to overcome difficulties and achieve their ambitions”, he said.

Lotte Foundation was founded by the Chairman of the Lotte Group, Mr. Shin Gyuk-Ho with the goal of supporting the important role of education for future generations. In the field of education, Lotte Foundation has consistently awarded scholarships twice a year to students of the University of Economics in particular and the University of Da Nang in general.
