Discussion about the mobility opportunities for lecturers, students to Taiwan leading universities

On the morning of 15th January 2018, the delegation of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), including: Dr. Tzong-Chen Wu - School of Business, Dr. Tzu-Chuan Chou - Director of Administration Bachelor's Degree Program and Dr. Jau-Rong chen - Director of iMBA program - Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) had a meeting with representatives of Board of Rectors of University of Economics. Welcoming the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Head of Research & International Cooperation Department and Dr. Dang Huu Man - Deputy Head of Research & International Cooperation Department.

 

As a leading partners in the recent years, Ming Chi University of Technology and University of Economics have developed cooperative relationships in the areas of joint training, collaborative research . This time MCUT has offered 10 scholarships in the Master of Business Administration for students and lecturers from University of Economics. DUE representative introduced DUE candidates for the scholarship interview and hopes them meet the requirements of the scholarship.

Talking about the opportunity to exchange lecturers, students with Ming Chi University and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Assoc. Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that lecturers from two partner universities can come to Vietnam to organize seminars, workshops and attend exchange activities with lecturers and students of University of Economics. Besides, short-term exchange courses, summer school program will also be an opportunity for students from two countries to experience the learning environment, learn cultural identity in Vietnam and Taiwan. Representatives from three universities expressed their enthusiasm for the prospect of a cooperative relationship and agreed to discuss about the student exchange programs in the near future.


The University of Economics also expects representatives from NTUST and MCUT to seek information about scholarships for students and lecturers. DUE expects high quality study programs such as Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Tourism, etc. to be able to meet the requirements of scholarship, exchange and transfer programs from partners. Dr. Jou-Rong chen said that MCUT also offers many postgraduate scholarships for tuition, living expenses and dormitories for Asian students. On behalf of NTUST, Dr.. Tzong-Chen Wu hopes to be more connected with faculties, students in information technology, management information systems to discuss more about development cooperation.

University of Economics has also made great strides in establishing a professional scientific research environment that connects scientists around the world through prestigious international conferences such as the International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF), International Conference Maketing in the Connected Age (MICA) ... On this occasion, DUE representatives also invited the scientists from two partners to write and participate in international conferences in 2018. Representatives of the two partners responded they have been very willing to encourage their researchers, lecturers to write articles and attend international conferences organized by DUE.



After the meeting, the candidates for the postgraduate scholarships granted by the Ming Chi University of Technology paid a direct interview. MCUT will provide up to 10 full scholarships for excellent candidates who meet all requirements for studying in Taiwan.
