Exchange of cooperation with The University of Pardubice, Czech Republic

In the afternoon of November 24th, 2017, the University of Pardubice (UPa), Czech Republic, headed by Pro. Miroslav Ludwig – the Rector -  visited and discussed the opportunities for cooperation with University of Economics, the University of Danang. Associate Professor  Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen, Vice Rector of the University and Dr. Dang Huu Man, Deputy Head of Research and International Cooperation Department welcomed and worked with the delegation. At the meeting, the representative of UPa introduced the exciting learning environment in the Czech Republic. UPa is one of the 26 public higher education institutions in the Czech Republic and is the only university in the Pardubice region. Pardubice University, a modern and dynamic public university, provides  different traning programs at undergradute, postgradute and doctoral levels with more than 130 majors, many of which are economics, mathematics, business administration, etc. The visit would  lay the foundation  for cooperation between UPa and the University of Economics, the University of Danang in the near future.

Both sides discussed the forms of cooperation such as the 2+2, 3+1 joint program and the "sandwich" doctoral program that UPa has worked with the University of Danang before. With the 'sandwich' format, teaching activities will be coordinated between the two sides. While the professors of Da Nang University will be academic counselors or co-supervisors, the training program contents and certificates will be issued by the University of Pardubice. This  cooperation creates favourable conditions for lecturers working in universities and research institutes.
In addition, UPa also expressed their interests in co-hosting international conferences on the strengths of the two universities. Pro. Miroslav Ludwig, Rector of UPa, also presented three scientific journals (ISI, SCOPUS) in the Czech Republic, suggesting that the collaboration between the two sides' scientists and lecturers should facilitate the increase in the international publication rate of faculty members.
 In the coming time, the UPa and the University of Economics - University of Danang will continue to have specific discussions on the direction of cooperation in which the connection between the faculties concerned will be the first step in this bilateral relationship.
