Developing the digital economy - requirements for innovation in currency management in Vietnam

In the afternoon of December 20, Da Nang University of Economics in collaboration with the Banking Academy organized a National Workshop on "Developing a digital economy - The requirements for innovation in currency management in Vietnam". The conference was honored to have the participation of leaders of University of Economics: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Quoc Khanh, Head of Training Department - Banking Academy and the presence of leaders of Faculties, lecturers, scientists and students of University of Economics – The University of Danang.

At the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector of the University was pleased to welcome scientists and researchers to attend the seminar on "Developing the digital economy - The requirements of innovation in currency management in Vietnam". At the same time,  she also affirmed: “ With the goal of building scientific and practical basis to recommend development policies, it is hoped that this conference will synthesize the opinions and comments of experts and scientists, managers, financial institutions and related businesses on the nature and development of the digital economy in the world and Vietnam, from which to discuss in detail the innovations in currency management in Vietnam".

 

At the seminar, the delegates focused on discussing and clarifying issues: Digital economy and the need for innovation of currency management in Vietnam's digital economy; Types of currencies in the digital economy; Development in the digital economy and the problems raised for currency management in Vietnam; currency security and some experiences of countries around the world; Quantitative research model assessing the impact of digital economy development on currency management in Vietnam; The role of the State Bank in macroeconomic stability and security and safety of banking operations. The papers presented at the conference attracted the attention of many scientists; exchanged contributions and defense for their research were presented to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the research.

The seminar was a great success creating a forum for participants to actively share and discuss to clarify the rationale, transition and trends of development in the digital economy as well as international experience and lessons for Vietnam.
