In order to encourage scientific research and explore new knowledge of students, on June 13, the University of Economics - University of Danang organized a Scientific Research Student Conference, 2017 - 2018. The conference was attended by representatives of the Department of Science and Technology in Danang, Danang University and heads of member universities. On the side of the University of Economics, there is Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Toan – Principal of the University, heads of faculties, divisions, centers and lecturers and students participate in scientific research at this year’s conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that, the Student Scientific Research Conference is an annual activity for students to build analytical and information processing skills in scientific research, contributing to the common development of society. The strengthening of scientific research in students is also an effective method to increase the effectiveness of training, linking theory with later business practices of learners, thereby building the knowledge and precious skills for the future.

At the Faculty Scientific Research Conference taking place from May 5 to May 23, 2018, the University received 163 registrations for Faculty-level projects and 82 projects were implemented, of which there are 62 projects of high quality training system. Based on the evaluation of the Scientific Council, the 20 most outstanding projects of 12 Faculties have been nominated to participate in the University Conference. On behalf of the organizers, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh sent her congratulations to the students participating in this year's scientific research conference, and hoped that they would continue to promote the creativity and talent of youth, continue to build the quality scientific research projects.

Organizing Committee has established 5 Sub-committees to evaluate scientific research projects in the following fields: Accounting and Finance, Marketing and International Business; Administration, Statistics and E-Commerce; Law and State Management; Economics and Synthesis. This year's outstanding projects were focused on solutions and applications that wait in front for the explosion of the technology 4.0 revolution, such as: Researching factors affecting customers' mobile payment intention (Mobile Payment) - Case of application for MOMO payment service (group of students Vo Thi My Hay, Vo Thi Kim Thu, Tran Viet Duy, Ngo Van Hoang, Nguyen Thi Nhung), The influence of intimacy and trust on the stickiness of users on social networks - Practical research for Facebook social network (group of students Le Nguyen Hong Co, Nguyen Thi Thien, Huynh Hai Dang, Le Luong Gia Huy, Nguyen Phuong Thao), Study the impact of initial trust on the adoption of mobile payment: In case of studying in Danang (student Tao Thi Kieu My), Solution of applying Chatbot technology to support consultancy studying for students (group of students Tran Thien Quoc Tong, Pham Phuong Loan, Trinh Dinh Phuong, Nguyen Thi Cam Van) ... In addition, research projects on specialized fields, associated with business practices are highly appreciated by the Scientific Council such as: Does foreign ownership increase return volatility? Evidence from Vietnam (student Le Thuy Trang), The impact of corporate governance on finance reporting in Vietnam (group of students Luu Nguyen Truong Trung, Nguyen Tuan Dung, Thai Manh Kha), Cooperation on the upstream supply chain - Case study in enterprises in Danang (group of students Nguyen Thuy Hang, Vo Thi Kim Chi, Pham Thi Thuy Vy),…

The projects have attracted the attention, argument, critical debate, frank discussion among research groups with the jury to clarify the research contents of the projects. The teachers in the Council also evaluated the topic in a fair and objective manner, and also gave advice to the groups to improve the quality and effectiveness of the projects.
