University of Economics signed agreement on student transfering with the University of Nottingham Trent (England)

In the morning of 26/9, a signing ceremony was conducted for the agreement on student transferring 3+1 between University of Economics and Nottingham Trent University – NTU (England). The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice-Rector of University of Economics, Dr. Doan Thi Lien Huong – Deputy of Academic Affairs Department, Dr. Duong Thi Lien Ha – Deputy of Research and International Cooperation Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Dean of Faculty of International Business and the presentative of administrators and lecturers of DUE. The presentative of Nottingham Trent University included Mr. Christophe Crabot – Manager of International College and Mrs. Sahae Vidhi – coordinator of NTU global program in South Asia.


According to the signed agreement between the two universities, students of International business can study for three years in Vietnam;  then have the option to be transferred to Nottingham Trent University for the final year and receive the Bachelor Degree from NTU. Also, students can study further for one more year to receive a Master Degree from NTU. Transferring students will receive a 25%-tuition fee scholarship and other scholarships.


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh expressed her delight and stated that this was the result of the cooperation between the two universities. This program will make the dream of studying abroad of DUE students real, and extend the system of partners which have cooperation agreements with DUE. With the network of 50 partners over the world, DUE students have many options for transfer programs. They will have the chances to experience the most developed education environment with reasonable expenses, preparing for their future.


Cooperation agreement is a remark in the relationship between the two universities

Besides the signed agreement, Mr. Christophe Crabot shared that they will support the transfer students with studying and living conditions. Especially, NTU is also an international education environment, gathering many students from all over the worlds. Thus, DUE students will not find any difficulty exposing to the new environment. NTU has also suggested enhancing the cooperation in more training programs, knowing that DUE is famous with economics and business administration studies in the Central Region of Vietnam

Agreed with the suggestion of presentative of NTU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh proposed the guidelines for cooperation in transferring students with 2+2 programs, post-graduate programs, students and lecturers exchange and summer courses for students. DUE expressed that these programs were the foundation to tighten and enhance the collaboration between the two universities. Both two sides agreed to continue the discussion and aimed at an agreement shortly.

As for scientific research, DUE also invited NTU to attend the international conference such as International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF), Marketing in the Connected Age Conference (MICA). Moreover, University of Economics welcomes the lecturers and students of NTU come to Vietnam and conduct seminars, workshops, exchanging activities to enhance the connection between DUE and NTU lectures and students.

The signing ceremony and meeting between University of Economics and Nottingham Trent University was held successfully with agreement on many cooperation guidelines. The presentative of two universities believe that the cooperation agreement is a remark for the collaboration between DUE and NTU.

Located in Nottingham, United Kingdom, the university has 24.000 students with three campuses: City Campus, Clifton Campus, and Brackenhurst Campus. Now the university offer 500 courses with 9 schools: School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences; School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment; School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment; School of Arts and Humanities; Nottingham Business School; Nottingham Institute of Education; Nottingham Law School; School of Science and Technology; School of Social Sciences.
