Some feedbacks about
the faculty of Banking from former students:
“ … In the period
from 1989-1993, Vietnam’s banking major had just begun with their initial baby
steps and some joint stock commercial banks first appeared. The Banking and
Finance faculty at that time, had just been established, and most of the
lecturers came from other faculties to teach those B&F subjects. Even so, I
could see their efforts and passion in studying and researching in terms of
both theory and practice, domestically and internationally, to convey the most
practical and effective lessons to students in the department. Right after my
graduation, I started out at DongA bank, a newly-formed commercial bank with
roughly 1 year experience in operation, which was relatively small compared to
the ones in the present. At the moment, after 22 years working with DongA,
taking part in different positions and traveling to several places in Vietnam,
as well as witnessing the fluctuation of Banking in Vietnam or the world’s
financial crisis, I have understood more thoroughly the complexity of Finance
and Banking. The more I lean, the less I know about it. However, I strongly
believe that the knowledge taught at school would be an extremely important
foundation for a student to prepare for their future career. Moreover, students
can learn how to apply what they are taught in class into the reality after
their graduation, which requires a great deal of endless effort in studying for
anyone in anywhere, at any positions and at any times of their lives.
I would also like to
send my sincerest thanks to the lecturers as well as the whole faculty and wish
them success, health and happiness…”
Mr.
An Nguyen
Student
of school year 89K7 (1989-1993)
Deputy
general director of DongA joint stock commercial bank
“The faculty program
is appropriate and quite relevant to the Banking situation nowadays. Being
equipped with knowledge and skills by the faculty’s lecturers, a student, in
within 2 months of probation can be promoted into an official position in the
bank. During training, we are carefully instructed from acquiring knowledge to
intern orientation, as well as taking part in many practical hands-on
activities. Those are what Finance and Banking students are in need of these
days.
I myself feel genuinely
proud and honorable to once be a student (school year 21K7) and a master
student of the faculty. It’s such a blessing to be trained systematically and
professionally so that I could have my confidence to work in such a modern
environment like at the bank (Vietcombank). It is not a very long time at
school but what the lecturers had taught really help us pick up the job more
quickly when it comes to practice. We were also prepared to catch up with the
working pace and perform well in any sorts of tasks. During our time at work,
we receive positive feedbacks from the company leaders regarding our
well-rounded profession and sufficient knowledge. Even though we are no longer
students of the school but we always spend time visiting the faculty if it’s
convenient, especially on Teacher’s day (November 20th). We sincerely thank our
lecturers and wish the whole faculty success, health and happiness…”

“…“During my time at
school, I think the faculty’s training program is properly-designed in a
practical and innovative way. I am so impressed with the faculty’s lecturers
that they possess high quality degree and have got a great deal of up-to-date
knowledge. Along with much experience in undergraduate and postgraduate
training, they always maintain a good manner and dedication in teaching…””

“… If you want a concrete house, you have to build a strong
foundation. Your job opportunity is considered as the house, whereas the
knowledge obtained at school is the foundation. The faculty is the significant
cradle that provides knowledge for many generations of bankers in Vietnam.
After your graduation, you might have a chance to study in depth about the
major in other different situations, but you will definitely find our faculty’s
program outstanding in terms of teaching principles/ methods, the profoundness
of teaching materials’ content, closeness to reality and student orientation
