STUDENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CONFERENCE 2017 - 2018: WELCOMES THE TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION 4.0

In order to encourage scientific research activities and to explore new knowledge, on June 13th, University of Economics - University of Da Nang held a student conference on science research in 2017 - 2018. The conference was attended by representatives from Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, representatives from University of Da Nang, representatives of leaders from member universities. University of Economics has Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Head of School, leaders of faculties, Divisions, Centers and lecturers and students participate in scientific research at this year's Conference.
During her opening speech, Assoc. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that the students' scientific research conference is an annual activity for the students to build the skills of analyzing and processing information in scientific research, contributing to the development of the society. Increasing scientific research among students is also an effective way to increase the effectiveness of training, linking theories with the business practices, thereby building precious knowledge and skills for the future.

In the Student scientific research conference at faculty level from 5/5 to 23/5/2018, the school received 163 faculty-level research papers and 82 topics were implemented, of which there are 62 topics from High quality training department. Based on the evaluation of the base-level scientific councils, the 20 best topics from 12 faculties have been nominated to join the University Conference. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Assoc. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh congratulated the students on this year's scientific research conference and wished them to continue to use the creativity and talents of the youth and continue to develop high quality research.
The Organizing Committee has set up 5 sub-committees to evaluate scientific research works in the following fields: Accounting & Finance; Marketing & International Business; Administration, Statistics & E-Commerce; Law & Government; Economic & General. This year's highlights focus on solutions and applications that embrace the bloom of the 4.0 industry revolution such as: Research on the factors that affect the mobile payment - The case of applying for MOMO payment services (student group: Vo Thi My Hay, Vo Thi Kim Thu, Tran Viet Duy, Ngo Van Hoang, Nguyen Thi Nhung), Effect of intimacy and trust to the loyalty of users on Social Networks - practical research for Social Networks: Facebook (student group: Le Nguyen Hong Co, Nguyen Thi Thien, Huynh Hai Dang, Le Luong Gia Huy, Nguyen Phuong Thao), Research on the impact of initial trust on accepting payment via mobile: case study in Da Nang city (student Ta Thi Kieu My), Chatbot technology application that provide learning consultancy for students (student groups Tran Thien Quoc, Pham Phuong Loan, Trinh Dinh Phuong, Nguyen Thi Cam Van) In addition, research topics in the field of specialty, associated with business practices are highly appreciated by the Scientific Council such as: Does foreign ownership increase return volatility? Evidence from Vietnam (Le Thuy Trang student), The impact of corporate governance on financial reporting quality in Vietnam (Luu Nguyen Truong Trung, Nguyen Tuan Dung, Thai Manh Kha) Situation in enterprises in Da Nang city (group of students Nguyen Thuy Hang, Vo Thi Kim Chi, Pham Thi Thuy Vy)...
The topics have attracted interest, heated debate and forward discussion between research teams with the jury to clarify research content of those topics. Lecturers in the Council also evaluated in a fair and objective way, while also gave advice to improve the quality and effectiveness of the research.
