1. CO-ORGANISERS
The University of Danang - University of Economics (DUE, Vietnam); Institute of Global Finance at the University of New South Wales (Australia); Massey University (New Zealand); Southeastern Louisiana University (USA); Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (Malaysia); Duta Wacana Christian University (Indonesia); the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom); and the University of Parma (Italy).
2. AIMS AND SCOPE
ICOAF 2026 provides an international forum for the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarly exchange among researchers, leading experts, practitioners, and policymakers in the fields of Accounting, Finance, and Banking. The conference encourages submissions that demonstrate strong theoretical grounding, rigorous empirical analysis, and clear implications for organisations, financial markets, and public policy.
3. TOPICS OF INTEREST
ICOAF 2026 welcomes original research papers in all areas of Accounting, Finance, and Banking, including, but not limited to:
• Accounting standards, financial reporting quality, and disclosure practices
• Auditing, assurance services, internal control, and corporate governance
• Corporate finance, investment decisions, firm valuation, and capital structure
• Asset pricing, market microstructure, derivatives, and risk management
• Banking systems, financial stability, and regulatory or supervisory frameworks
• Sustainable finance, environmental finance, and energy transition finance
• FinTech, digital finance, and data-driven financial innovations
• International finance, exchange rates, cross-border capital flows, and financial integration
4. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Professor Sumit Agarwal

Professor of Finance at the Business School and a Professor of Economics and Real Estate at the National University of Singapore, Singapore
Sumit Agarwal is Low Tuck Kwong Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Business School and a Professor of Economics and Real Estate at the National University of Singapore. He is the Managing Director of Sustainable and Green Finance Institute at NUS. He is also the President of Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research.
Sumit’s research interests include issues relating to household sustainablity, financial institutions, household finance, behavioral finance, and real estate markets. He has published over one hundred and twenty five research articles in economics and finance journals among others. Additionally, he has co-written six books titled Why We Feel Blue When the Air is Grey , Kiasunomics 3, Introduction to Household Financial Management , Kiasunomics 2, Household Finance: A Functional Approach , and Kiasunomics , and also co-edited two collected volumes titled Impact of COVID-19 on Asian Economies and Policy Responses, and Household Credit Usage: Personal Debt and Mortgages. He writes regular op-ed’s in the Straits Times and is featured on various media outlets like the CNA, BBC, CNBC, and Fox on issues relating to finance, banking, and real estate markets. Sumit’s research is widely cited in leading newspapers and magazines like the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Economist, and the U.S Presidents Report to Congress. He also runs a Podcast on household financial decision making called Kiasunomics.

Professor Andrea Cilloni

Associate Professor in Business Administration at the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Parma, Italy
Andrea Cilloni is an Associate Professor at the University of Parma, where he holds the teaching position of Professor in Management Accounting and other topics.
He held several teaching positions at the University of Parma and he has served as Visiting Professor and Scholar in European, Japanese, North American, and South American Universities: FECAP, Sao Paolo, Brazil; Kwansey Gakuin University, Nishinomia; Japan; Hiroshima-Shudo University, Hiroshima, Japan; UBA, Buenos Aires, Argentina; UBC, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada; Universidade Lusofona, Lisboa, Portugal just to mention some of them.
He studied at Degree and Post-Degree Levels at the University of Parma, the University of Cardiff, United Kingdom, and at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
He has published many articles in Italian and International Accounting and Business Economics Journals: “Accounting Education, an International Journal”, “Cultura e contabilità aziendale”, “De Computis - Revista Española de Historia de la Contabilidad, The Spanish Journal of Accounting History”, “Rivista Italiana di Ragioneria ed Economia Aziendale”.
The present research is concentrated on Management Accounting, Accounting History, Accounting Education, Accounting, and Information Systems.
5. SUBMISSION AND REVIEW PROCESS

• Submission method: Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via website https://due.udn.vn/icoaf
• Review process: All submissions will undergo a peer-review process coordinated by the conference committees
• Originality requirement: Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere
6. PUBLICATION
All accepted and presented papers will be published in the ICOAF 2026 Conference Proceedings with an associated ISBN. Information regarding potential journal special issues or publication opportunities with partnering outlets will be announced by the Organising Committee and relevant editors for the 2026 edition.
7. PRESENTATION REQUIREMENT
At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference. Papers that are not presented will be withdrawn from the conference proceedings.

9. BEST PAPER AWARDS
All accepted papers will be eligible for Best Paper Awards. Award categories and evaluation criteria will be announced in the conference programme.
