DUE supports Leibniz University Hannover (Germany) to open an office for TVSEP project


In the afternoon of 11/9, to discuss DUE’s supports in opening an office for Leibniz University Hannover (LUH)’s TVSEP project in Danang, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice-rector of DUE, had a meeting with Prof. Hermann Waibel – Director of the Institute of Development and Agricultural Economics. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen – Head of Scientific Research and International Cooperation Department and Dr.  Le Bao – Vice-dean of the Faculty of Economics.

This was the second time Prof. Hesmann Wailbel came to University of Economics, after the visit and meeting with DUE’s Board of Rectors in March 2018. This time, the presentative of LUH promoted DUE to support in opening an office for TVSEP Project. This office will offer more benefits in collecting data for TVSEP Project in Central and Central Highland of Vietnam. Moreover, TVSEP Project also has a plan to recruit DUE’s students for data collecting process. This will also a “bridge” between LUH and DUE, promoting the lecturers and students exchange programs in the future.


The representatives of University of Economics appreciated the suggestions of LUH and claimed to support in every aspect: human resources, working space,… especially the presentative office in DUE. University of Economics will continue to discuss with LUH, aiming to an agreement as soon as possible to help LUH develop TVSEP Project in Vietnam. Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh hoped that this agreement would be a remark in the comprehensive cooperation between University of Economics – The University of Danang and Leibniz University Hannover.
