Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland was impressed by the start-up spirit of Vietnamese young people

Recently, in Ireland, Mr. Simon Coveney – Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland, Minister of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has had a meeting with teachers and students of University of Economics – The University of Danang. These students were the winners of Start-up Runway 2018 Competition and received an opportunity to take part in Startup Training Program at Rubicon Start-up Centre (Cork Institute of Technology). This program is sponsored by Irish Aid, through Vietnam Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE).

After listening to the ambitious spirit ideas from DUE’s students, Deputy Prime Minister was deeply impressed and expressed his admiration for their strong courage and “dare to think, dare to do” spirit. Besides, Mr. Simon Coveney shared his opinion about how to promote start-up spirit among high school, university students and how to connect enterprises with young people’s ideas.

The speech of Deputy Prime Minister already gave DUE’s students a great inspiration for their coming start-up journey. The meeting also had some exciting moments when the Deputy Prime Minister took selfie pictures with Vietnamese students. Mr. Simon Coveney wished that each student would learn more useful things during their stay in Ireland and succeeded with their business plans in the future.
