This summer, DUE youth’s full coverage on the land of Ta-Poo ward (Quang Nam province)

On the morning of 2nd July, at the University of Technological Education, the Executive Organizing Board of students’ activities and campaigns, the University of Da Nang (UD), held the Opening Ceremony for the Green Summer Campaign, 2018. Presence at the Ceremony was the Executive Committee Board of the University of Da Nang, Youth Union of the University of Da Nang, Sponsors for the Campaign and more than 800 students of the University of Da Nang. The Green Summer Campaign 2018 was entitled “UD Youth with creativity, and voluntary willingness to the community”. There are 3 main programs, namely: Collective supports to the Community, International Volunteer, and Supports in Education.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Vice President of the University of Da Nang delivered warming welcome and encouragements to all students participating in this year campaign. On behalf of the Executive Board of UD, he hoped that with the energetic youth, keen enthusiasm, and powerful creativity, the volunteers would surely join hands to help the community with profound contributions to the social local development, deeper mutual understanding on cultures, arts and sports exchanges. Hence, great moments and images of UD youth will be left with honor at the location after the campaign.

After the ceremony, young volunteers of Da Nang University of Economics kicked off their start to the mountainous Ward of Ta-Poo, Nam Giang District, Quang Nam Province. The campaign will take place in 2 weeks (from 2nd July to 15th July). It will be including a series of meaningful activities such as: participating in a project of potential development in Tourism, and Economy in Ta-Poo; setting up an authorized Website for the Ward; propaganda and consultancy on laws; teaching and celebrating summer camp for local kids; visiting Vietnamese heroic Mothers, building a new road; and taking part in other outdoors and extra-curriculum activities with the locals, etc.
