Mid-term preliminary conference of the 7th party congress of University of Economics, term 2015 – 2020

On the morning of June 12^th 2018, the Party Committee of University of Economics - University of Da Nang solemnly held a mid-term preliminary conference of the 7th Party Congress of University of Economics and preliminary Party development in the first 6 months of 2018.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee - Vice Director of University of Danang, Mr. Phan Bao An - Member of the Party Committee - Party Committee’s Chief of University of Danang. On behalf of the Party Committee of University of Economics, Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of University of Da Nang - Secretary of the Party Committee - Rector of University of Economics and all party members from the university.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee presented the mid-term preliminary draft report

Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Secretary of the Party Committee, has presented the preliminary report on the implementation of the Resolution of the 7^th Party Congress of University of Economics (2015-2020) and the Party’s objectives for the 2018-2020 period. The report outlines characteristics of the Party's situation, summarizes the results of implementing the Resolution of the 7th Congress in the first half-term with directing work areas. Specifically, during this half-term, Party committees, authorities and unions have made efforts to overcome difficulties, unite to strive to basically accomplish targets set by the Resolution of the 7th Congress, term 2015-2020. In particular, the Party has well implemented ideological education; build up strong government and organizations; training, scientific research, international cooperation and team building have made significant progress; the staff’s quality of life is stable.

Breakthrough steps, strong change in the resolution of the Party is to put the school into autonomy; strongly investing in facilities, creating the best conditions for teaching, learning and research; the quality assurance program is robust, meeting AUN’s assessment criteria. The Party always plays the role of the political nucleus; with its leaders successfully accomplishes all tasks, and maintains unity among all Party members. The activities of the university have gone into order and discipline. The training management of the university has reached the advanced level on the basis of IT application, postgraduate education has developed significantly. The teaching quality of the school has been greatly improved and highly appreciated in the Central Highlands and throughout the country.

Results of implementing the Resolution in all fields are quite comprehensive and sustainable, creating a basis for successfully implementing the Resolution of the 7th Party Congress 2015-2020, contributing to affirming the position, prestige of the university amongst Vietnam’s university system.

The draft report also outspokenly pointed out the limitations, causes and remedies, and from that point set the direction and solution to develop the Party in the second half of the term. Delegates provided comments to complete the draft. The meeting also listened to the mid-term inspection and supervision report of the Party Committee and the Mid-term Review Committee of the Party Committee of University of Economics - University of Danang.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu highly appreciated the achievements of the university’s Party Committee and emphasized some points that Party members of University of Economics needed to improve. Based on the unanimous agreement of the Executive Board of the Party, the Board of Management and the whole staff, he expressed his belief in the strong development of University of Economics - University of Da Nang Future.

At this conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Secretary of the Party Committee also presented the work of the Party in the first 6 months of 2018 and set the task orientation for the next 6 months. The Secretary of the Communist Party Committee called on the Party Committee, School Management Board, Communist Party members, officers, lecturers and students of the whole university to continue promoting the strength of collective, solidarity, creativity in all fields of work, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Party Congress of the university as proposed for the term 2015-2020. The conference ended successfully on the same day.
