“Shining Vietnamese history– The second time in 2018”

In order to implement the cooperation program between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Veterans Association of the University of Economics, a program titled "Shining Vietnamese History - The second time in 2018" was organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Faculty of Political Economy on April 24th, 2018. The competition is a chance for all students to review the heroic history of the nation as well as to commemorate the anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and National Reunification (30/4/1975 - 30/4/2018).
On the theme of "The 50th Anniversary of the Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968", 13 teams from Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of 12 Faculties and the Student Board have learned about the event that marked a great turning point for the resistance war against the US for national liberation. The Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968 continued to be the bright symbol of patriotism, iron will, determination and combat spirit of the entire Communist Party, people and the army of Viet Nam under the clear-sighted leadership and right guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh to gain national liberation. Due to the contest, the teams and more than 500 students attending the event have gained a better understanding of these important historical events and felt more proud of the Vietnamese people.
The contest was held successfully and the results were as follows:
- The First Prize: Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Faculty of Banking.
- The Second Prize: The Student Board.
- The Third Prize: Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Faculty of Business Management
- The Political Leader Prize was awarded to student Nguyen Van Tai, Class of 43K09, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Faculty of Political Economy.
