A summary of 5-year support for Hoa Vang new-town development, University of Economics continuity in 2018-2020

The ceremony was held in the People’s Committee of Hoa Vang District, with the presence of Deputy Head of People’s Committee, Head of Party Office of the University of Da Nang (UD); representatives from Hoa Vang People’s Committee; Executive Organising Board of Da Nang University of Economics (DUE), representatives from Departments, Faculties and Youth Union of DUE.
In the past 5 years, more than 130 public and individual organisations in Da Nang City have supported Hoa Vang with an estimate of 143.5 billion VND. Da Nang University of Economics gave a big hand in this long-term project with a contribution of 673.5 million VND.
DUE supports are as follows:
- Training startups and instructing 250 young adults to seek for employment in local area; inspiring young people with creativity, determination and independence in themselves.
- Organizing training sections regarding tourism to establish Tourism team with knowledge, professionalism and skills in local images, cultures, people and tradition of the area
- Teaching and training Accounting Section to Accountants of Local centres, and offices to enhance their understanding, and updates in Accounting
- Opening classes on Image Design Management, Online and Website News Release for 80 learners in the area; providing used but quality computers for Hoa Ninh Primary School (20 million VND).
- Completing research on “Ensuring living standards for families that were moved out” (15 million VND).
- Fixing a house for Mr. Nguyen Van Du, Phu Son 1, Hoa Khuong Ward (43 Million VND) and giving scholarships to 2 students of DUE, who are children of Veterans in Hoa Vang
- Participating in Summer Campaign, making 200m of a concrete road in Dong Lam, Hoa Phu Ward, giving 10 scholarships for poor children and organizing a musical show for the locals

Turning to a new period of developing, 2018-2020, DUE will go on to build up an online website for agricultural products’ advertisements, organize more academic and vocational training courses for the locals, sponsor with scholarships to the students. Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union will cooperate with the Youth Union in Hoa Vang to form long-term and sustainable projects of development, and support local young people.

The ceremony ended with excitement and high solidary spirits. This is a good opportunity for DUE to reinforce their strengths in developing Hoa Vang to become a spotlight of non-stop attempts and determination for a prosperous future.
