Establishment of Faculty of E-commerce, renaming Faculty of trading into Faculty of International Business, University of Economics, The University of Danang

On 5th April morning, DUE, UD declared the establishment of Faculty of E-Commerce and renaming Faculty of Trading into Faculty of International Business, and assigned related positions to the faculties. Regarding distinguished guests, the ceremony warmly welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Vice President of The University of Da Nang (UD), representatives from different departments of UD, representatives from member universities of UD system, representatives from Da Nang Department of Education, and representatives from local enterprises. From DUE, UD, there was presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan, Rector of DUE, the Executive Organizing Board, Heads of Departments and Faculties, lecturers and students from Faculty of E-Commerce and Faculty of International Business.
At the ceremony, a declaration on establishing Faculty of E-Commerce was given. Faculty of E-Commerce was the combination of two sections, including Trading Business Management and E-Commerce, under the Head of Dr. Vo Quang Tri. Faculty of Trading was renamed Faculty of International Business with the current training major of Foreign Trade.

The University of Economics also designated many lecturers and officials as managing staff. Dr. Vo Quang Tri is Head of Faculty of E-Commerce; Mr. Nguyen Van Chuc, M.A. is appointed Deputy Head of Faculty of E-Commerces; Dr. Le Dien Tuan is Head of E-Commerce Section; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Head of Faculty of International Business; Dr. Ngo Thi Khue Thu, Deputy Head of Faculty of Marketing; Dr. Dinh Thi Le Tram, Head of Marketing Section, Faculty of Marketing; Dr. Nguyen Le Thu Hien, Head of Political Economy Section, Faculty of Political Economy. The Executive Organsing Board believes these Heads and Deputy Heads will strongly join hands and support the development of DUE.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Vice President of UD gladly congratulated the two new Faculties on their establishment. The Executive Board of UD proudly appreciates all of the attempts for innovations and development at DUE. This establishment really marked a new path of far development and global integration of DUE, UD.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan, DUE, UD emphasized the long-term aims of high-quality workforce in modern trading area, to get it become the spotlight of the field and pioneering in training and scientific research, together with larger business cooperation nationwide. In the era of 4.0 Industry, DUE consistently connect with local enterprises to train well-qualified workforce, assure sustainable future of careers for students from DUE through recent contracts between DUE and local businesses. In 2018, Information Technology (IT Management System, E-Commerces) is highly focused for practical purposes, with an increase by 30%-50% of practices in real companies.
