DUE Students’ Ability and Intellect at the Competition "Danang university students with APEC 2017"

In the evening of October 22, at the Trung Vuong Theater, the final round of the competition “Da Nang University Student with APEC 2017” officially took place with the participation of 6 teams from: University of Technology, University of Economics,  University of Pedagogy, College of Foreign Languages, College of Technology and Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy - University of Da Nang. With outstanding intelligence and talent, the students of the University of Economics won the second award in the competition.

The final round consists of three parts: APEC colors, APEC integration and eloquence. In the APEC Integration part, the University of Economics (DUE) team demonstrated the deep understanding of APEC 2017 through accurate answers which were highly evaluated by the judges. Besides, the profound knowledge and proficiency of English from DUE members also left a strong impression on the judges in the eloquent round. Audiences were also glamorous with colorful performances from all participants. Dressed in the costume of Thailand people, DUE team brought the Thai culture and characteristics closer to the Vietnamese friends through Thai dances, Muay martial arts or water fall festival. The second prize is the result of continuous efforts from the team during the training time and at the same time expresses the identity of DUE students: talented - brave - creative.

 The first prize was awarded to the University of Pedagogy, the Third Prize for the University of Foreign Languages and the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy - The University of Danang. Two consolation prizes were given to the University of Technology and the College of Technology.

The competition "Danang university students with APEC 2017" was organized by the Youth Union - Student Association of Da Nang University, in order to help students equip more knowledge about the formation and development of the Cooperation Forum: The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), as well as economical members. This event is expected to welcome the APEC Year 2017 and look forward to the APEC 2017 Summit held in Da Nang (November 5 - 11). The competition is also an opportunity for Da Nang University students to express the voice of the young generation before the opportunities and challenges of the country hosting this important event.
