University of Economics – The University of Danang has successfully signed the scientific research projects at state-level

Recently, a meeting aimed at transfering the State-level projects  under the Program “Research on the key issues of the social sciences and humanities serve economic development – society” – Framework KX.01/16-20 between Ministry of Science & Technology and representative of winning bidders has been held at the Headquaters of Ministry of Science and Technology transference in terms of.


The State-level projects transference meeting was held at the Headquater of Ministry of Science and Technology with the attandance of representative of Ministry of Science &Technology, the Head of Frammework KX01/16-20 and representative of winning bidders

The meeting had the attandance of Mr. Mai Van Hoa – Vice President of Office of National Science and Techonology Research Program – Ministry of Science and Technology, Ms. Le Yen Dung – Deputy Director General of Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural Sciences – Ministry of Science and Technology, Professor Tran Tho Dat, Rector of National Economics University – Head of Frammework KX01/16-20 and representatives of winning bidders. Danang University of Economics – the University of Danang brought honor to the meeting   as one of winning bidders of  the project entitled “Evaluating  the impacts of Free-Trade Agreements on Economic Structure and Identifying  the Sectors which have development potential  in Vietnamese Economic Structure”.

According to the signed contract, the  time allotted for completing the project  is for 24 months (from September 2017 to the end of August 2019) and  the fund offered is  almost three bilion Vietnam dongs. Danang University of Economics will cooperate with relevant corporations to initiate the project conduct  the surveys in Vietnam and other countries. Besides, three conferences and onescientific seminar will be held in Danang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to gather dicussed papers, comprehend consultation  from experts, scientists  and project content managers. The results of projectwill  be presented ed in  scientific papers posted in internal and international reputational scientific magazines and in a  reference  book.


Representative of University of Economics stated opinion at the meeting

Nowadays, many new Free-Trade Agreements (FTA) become valid  and are expected to create a good opportunity   for Vietnam to integrate into the global economy . The agreements will play an important part in bonding and socializing, improving potential cooperation  with key industries, boosting fervered trade activities between Vietnam and the global  economy. Besides, taking part in  FTA will also raise  challenges to  the Vietnamese  economy. The project “Evaluating  the impacts of Free-Trade Agreements on Economic Structure and Identifying  the Sectors which have development potential  in Vietnamese Economic Structure will examine both theoretical and practical issues about the impacts of FTA on economic structure and identify sectors, which have a development potential; evaluate the impacts of FTA on economic structure in the period from 2017 to 2025.  Based on the findings,the  authors will propose solutions to take advantages, restrict FTA’s negative impacts on  Vietnamese economic structure and suggests some measures for    effectively boosting  the sectors which have a development potential. ..

The  successful bidding in undertaking this   State-level project  sent good signals to scientific research activities of University of Economics – the University of Danang. Over the past years , scientific research activities of University of Economics   have been speeded up  and gained a lot of  impressive  achievements. The University has  won in   the bids of State-level projects., Ministry-level and Province-level projects. All of these achievements have   enhanced the reputation of the  University in field of scientific research and then paved the way for reaching its aim to be a leading research university in Vietnam,.
