Opening the research room: creative space for researchers

On the morning of September 27, 2017, the University of Economics - University of Danang officially opened and put into use the Research Office for PhD students and researchers, located on  the 4th floor of the university library.

The ceremony welcomed the presence of delegates from the University of Danang, leaders of the University, a large number of lecturers, researchers and students studying at the University of Economics. 

 With the aim of  becoming  a research-oriented university, the University of Economics - The University of Da Nang attach much importance to not only improving the quality of training , enhancing faculty training, upgrading material facilities . but also promoting  scientific research and setting this as the leading target. Along with accelerating  scientific research for faculty members, encouraging the international publication of scientific research, the University asserts  that the Doctorate training plays an important role in enhancing the research capacity of the school, contributing to the implementation of strategic objectives to become the leading research university in the region.

Currently, the University of Economics - University of Danang has four doctoral programs, including majors in Business Administration, Development Economics, Finance-Banking and Accounting. The university’s PhD candidates consist mainly of cadres and civil servants who currently work at educational institutions. In addition to the professional tasks to be completed, the candidates are actively involved in the implementation of topics at all levels as well as posting articles in specialized journals, participating in international conferences such as ICOAF, MICA, VEAM ... and other national seminars. A number of graduate students have published papers internationally in ISI, Scopus.

In order to create a motivation for research students, create a vibrant academic environment, to provide adequate material facilities, to ensure the best support for postgraduate students completing their tasks. , The University of Economics officially opened Research Room.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector stressed the efforts of the University of Economics - University of Da Nang in orientation to build the University into a research oriented university. . With a great investment in scientific research space, the Rector shows his belief in the research team, the researchers and lecturers to be more motivated to create new knowledge, continuing to promote the spirit of "integrity and creativity" to get quality scientific products, scientific works not only for the academic community but also the business community nationwide.

Research office is about 170 m2, located on the 4th floor of the Library Center with spacious design and quiet space. It is equipped with 20 cabinets to work with powerful internet network, ensuring access to materials and research information from the Internet and digital library of the school. For the convenience of discussion, the room also has a common working area for PhD students and lecturers, as well as seminar spaces. The coffee lounge is comfortable enough for the graduate students to relax after stressful working hours. The research lab will be open all day of the week for postgraduate students who are fully able to take the initiative in study and research.
