Initially establishing a cooperative relationship with O.P. Jindal Global University (India)

On the afternoon of March 9, the University of Economics - University of Danang welcomed and exchanged cooperation opportunities with the delegation of O.P. Jindal Global University (India). Leading the delegation is Prof. Dr. Sanjeev P. Sahni - Advisor, member of the Board of Directors of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), attended by Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam - Dean of the Faculty of Academic Administration; Mr. Arun Kumar Jain - Head of Finance Department; Dr. Rahul Bhandari - Head of the International Department. Receiving the delegation were representatives of the Department of Science & International Cooperation: Dr. Bui Huynh Nguyen – Deputy Head of the Department.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sanjeev P. Sahni gave a brief introduction to O.P. Jindal Global University. This university is research-oriented, multidisciplinary with 45 training programs in many disciplines and fields (Law, Business - Management, International Relations, Policy - Public Administration, Liberal Arts - Humanities, Journalism - Media, Arts - Architecture, Finance - Banking, Environment, Psychology, Language - Literature, Public Health, etc.). JGU is ranked among the top private universities in India, Top 500 universities according to the criteria of student employability/employment after graduation and Top 700 universities in the world, according to QS. With similarities in the field of training, the JGU representative proposed directions for cooperation in training, scientific research, especially groups in Law, Business - Management, Finance - Banking, etc.

Dr. Bui Huynh Nguyen said that with the cooperation experience and extensive international cooperation network of the University of Economics, the two sides will have many advantages in the process of discussing, agreeing and hoping to reach a cooperation agreement as soon as possible. The University of Economics also proposed cooperation programs such as exchange of students and lecturers; 2+2 and 3+1 transition training programs; Summer semester program, etc. The University of Economics also invites JGU representatives to participate in scientific research activities such as co-organizing international conferences, organizing seminars and workshops between lecturers and students of the two schools, and participated in the international study abroad conference to widely introduce the JGU brand to students.

Representatives of the two schools will continue to strengthen the exchange of information and training programs and hope that the cooperation relationship between the two schools will help lecturers and students of the University of Economics have an option to study abroad in India in the future.
