Solemnly celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day

Joining the joyful and bustling atmosphere with the whole country, on the morning of November 19, the University of Economics, University of Danang solemnly held the Celebration of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022). The ceremony aims to review the noble traditions of the teaching profession, honor and express deep gratitude to generations of teachers and cadres of the University who have worked so hard to build the brand of the University of Economics, and commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the academic year 2021-2022.

The ceremony was honored with the presence of leaders of the University of Danang, representatives of leaders of socio-political organizations, offices, and functional departments of the University of Danang. On the side of the University of Economics, there were the University's Board of Directors, leaders of faculties, departments, and centers under the University, and generations of former teachers, alumni and officials, lecturers, and students of the University of Economics - University of Danang.

Welcome speech at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of the university sent his gratitude to all the teachers and officials of the school for their efforts, construction, consensus, and enthusiasm for the successful implementation of the tasks of the school year 2021 - 2022. In the past 48 years, generations of teachers and students of the University of Economics, University of Danang have tried and together overcame difficulties in each stage of the school's construction to develop as it is today.

At the ceremony, teachers and students of the University of Economics reviewed the achievements that the University has made efforts to achieve in the past school year. The academic year 2021 - 2022 is a challenging year for all teachers and students of the University of Economics. In the context that the Covid epidemic has been gradually controlled, there are still heavy and complicated consequences; All staff and students of the whole University have united, been democratic, intellectually promoted, tried their best with a high sense of responsibility, successfully completed the tasks of the school year. The enrollment in 2022 reached 100% of the target, and the quality of the input was relatively high compared to the national average. The students admitted to the program this year all have good academic ability and English proficiency, having an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher. In particular, this school year, the university has succeeded in opening a new training major, Fintech (Financial Technology), in response to the change of the 4.0 technology revolution and implemented the International Business Program taught entirely in English. Last school year, the University completed the organization of accreditation of educational institutions according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training cycle 2 in December 2021; The university has successfully organized a self-assessment and external assessment of 3 training programs, namely Banking, Hotel Management, and Corporate Finance according to AUN-QA standards, increasing the number of training programs meeting AUN-QA standards of the University to 8 programs. This success has created an important motivation and premise to continue to test other training programs of the University in the coming time. Scientific research and international cooperation have also achieved great success with the number of international publications on WoS/Scopus reaching 57 articles; Scientific research projects at the state level: 3 topics, at the University of Danang level: 11 topics, at the university level: 13 new topics. Besides the above activities, 2021 - 2022 is the blooming year of the University of Economics, the University of Danang in organizing conferences, international scientific conferences, and seminars on thematic reports on the fields of Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, and Tourism for interested faculty and students. These are activities to share and update economical, political, and cultural knowledge to promote integration with advanced science in the world.

With the best efforts in scientific research activities and international cooperation, teachers and students of the University of Economics, University of Danang has achieved proud results: 03 lecturers received the Consolation Prize, Science and Technology Award for Young Lecturers from the Ministry of Education and Training, 5 international articles by lecturers received the Certificate of Merit from the People's Committee of Da Nang City in 2021, 26 international articles were rewarded by the Science and Technology Development Fund of the University of Danang in 2021, 01 second prize of the Science and Technology Award for students in higher education institutions in 2021 (Faculty of International Business), 01 Second Prize of Eureka 2021 (Faculty of Marketing), 01 Consolation Prize of Eureka 2021 (Faculty of Tourism), 01 Second Prize in Danang Science and Technology Student Competition 2021 (Faculty of E-commerce), 01 Consolation Prize in Danang Science Research Student Contest 2021 (Faculty of Marketing), 01 Second Prize for Scientific Research Student at UDN in 2021 (Faculty of Marketing), 01 Third Prize Student at UDN in 2021 (Faculty of Tourism).

At the ceremony, the university honored 01 individual who has been awarded the 3rd class Labor Medal, individuals and collectives who have received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, the units were awarded the Emulation Flag at the ministerial level and the excellent Labor Collective, the medal for the cause of education, the Certificate of Merit at the ministerial level for the dedication process, etc. In addition, the University also honored and congratulated 12 new Ph.D. students for their work at the university, and at the same time awarded certificates of merit to individuals and groups with excellent achievements in the school year.
