The University of Danang in collaboration with the Central Economic Commission and the Da Nang Party Committee co-organized a national science conference with the theme "Developing the service sector in the industrialization and modernization by 2030, with a vision to 2045". The conference will be held on August 5, 2022 at Furama Resort Danang, taking place in face-to-face and online format.

The chairing delegation and Steering Committee of the Conference included:

Comrade Tran Tuan Anh, Member of the Politburo, Head of the Central Economic Commission; Comrade Nguyen Hong Dien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade; Comrade Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee; Comrade Doan Van Viet, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; ComradeDao Minh Tu, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Vu, President of the University of Danang.

The conference was attended by leaders of Party committees, ministries, branches, leaders of localities, international organizations, universities, businesses and scientists throughout the country.

The national scientific conference on "Developing the service industry in the process of industrialization and modernization to 2030, with a vision to 2045" was held to create a forum for discussion and exchange on various topics. on the development of the service industry in the process of industrialization and modernization; strengthen exchanges and cooperation in scientific research and policy consultation between scientists and managers at central and local levels. The conference is an important channel to analyze and forecast the development of service industries in Vietnam in the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2045. In addition, the conference is also a forum to listen to and discuss orientation recommendations, roadmaps and solutions to develop key and advantageous service industries in order to accelerate the process of industrialization and modernization of the country.

The scientific reports of the conference focused on the following main topics:

- The current situation of service industry development and the role of the service industry in economic development in Vietnam and in localities;

- Experience in service industry development and lessons learned for Vietnam;

- The service industry under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic;

- Practically restructuring service industries on the basis of modern technology and digital technology in localities;

- Digital transformation and the role of digital transformation in the development of service industries in Vietnam.

- Developing new services in the process of industrialization and modernization;

- Orientation and development goals of the service industry towards integration;

- Mechanisms and policies to develop the service industry in the process of industrialization and modernization.
