Flexible transforming teaching form to suit the practical situation

The complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic has caused the learning and teaching situation of universities across the country to change and adapt continuously. From the second semester of the school year 2019-2020 when the epidemic began to break out, the University of Economics has prepared in all aspects to organize online teaching and to ensure the school year plan. Thanks to the adaptation and flexible application of creativity in the teaching organization, the University's students are still fully imparted knowledge, the study and exam work is also ensured, contributing to the successful completion of the school year tasks 2019 – 2020, 2020 – 2021 and the first semester of the academic year 2021 – 2022.

Before the new developments of Covid-19 at the end of this year as Da Nang City and the whole country prepare for the "new normal", right from the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, the University of Economics has determined to transform the teaching method is indispensable. In order to prepare for a new form of teaching that combines online and face-to-face teaching in the classroom, the University has directed departments and units to flexibly coordinate the preparation of facilities and information technology infrastructure and especially the lecturers entered the mood of the "new normal". Following the direction of the School Board of Directors, the Trade Union of the University of Economics also actively participated in the plan to apply a new teaching form by mastering the spirit of the University's leaders, raising the spirit of prevention - fight against the epidemic, including coordinating with the Information and Communication Technology Center to organize support sessions, instructions on using the technique of connecting online teaching software in live classrooms on November 23 and 24.

The classrooms are divided into two support areas dedicated to popular online teaching software: Google Meet and Microsoft Team. Each instructor has practically observed how to install cameras, connect images and sounds as well as perceive classroom space to ensure teaching for live classes and students who are at home learning online. In addition, lecturers also participated in a class that combines face-to-face and online forms as a learner. Role-playing as a learner helped lecturers have more real-life experiences, thereby having a more effective way of imparting knowledge and interacting with students.

The atmosphere of exchange was lively

In "trial classes", lecturers also shared practical teaching experiences and effective teaching methods through online teaching time. Those useful shares helped teachers have more approaches to new teaching methods, cultivated more teaching and research experiences in new situations. At the end of the sharing sessions, the University also arranged experimental classrooms for teachers to be ready to practice. In fact, some classes have been operated smoothly, ensured technical factors as well as taught effectiveness. In 02 days with 04 support sessions, there were 85 turns of officials and lecturers participating with a lively atmosphere and high sense of responsibility.

In order to prepare for the new teaching situation, recently, the University of Economics has arranged camera, sound, and internet systems of more than 30 classrooms "spread" in lecture areas to ensure distance for teachers and students. Towards the goal of "building a stable teaching and learning environment during the epidemic period", the University of Economics has made great efforts to apply digital technology in training, promote dynamism and creative thinking of the lecturers, create conditions for learners to access, cultivate knowledge and research in new situations.
