Summary of Trade Union activities for the 2020-2021 school year: Overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic and successfully completing the task

On the afternoon of November 15, the Trade Union of the University of Economics - The University of Danang held a virtual conference to summarize the union activities for the 2020-2021 school. Attending the conference were Dr. Nguyen Duc Hung - Chairman of the Trade Union of the University of Danang, on the side of the University of Economics, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan – Rector of the University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh – Vice Rector of the University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Van Huy - Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Thu - President of the School's Trade Union, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dat - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, comrades in the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the University and many union members of the University of Economics.

 The conference reviewed the activities as well as outstanding achievements of the School Union in the school year 2020-2021. In a year of many challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the collective of officials and employees, the staff of the University of Economics - The University of Danang has shown the spirit of solidarity to overcome difficulties and successfully complete all tasks in the past school year. Specifically, in the work of propagandizing and educating; mobilizing officials and employees to improve their professional qualifications and capacity, the University's Trade Union has diversified forms of propagandizing and disseminating guidelines, policies and regulations such as: organizing online and face-to-face conferences, sending emails, organizing research contests, talking seminars, updating information widely on the website, etc., The university also regularly organized many seminars, training courses to improve professional qualifications, teaching skills, and use of the E-learning system, which is appropriate in the current online teaching context.

 The trade union also did a good job of taking care of, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of officials and employees, and had a policy of regular and timely support for trade unionists in difficult circumstances, and stabilize the spiritual life for all officials and employees. This year, the School's Trade Union continues to apply creativity flexibly in organizing emulation movements, sports activities, and entertainment activities for union members. The Trade Union of the University of Economics has coordinated to deploy the emulation movement "Teaching well - Studying well" associated with the emulation content: "Innovation and creativity in teaching and learning" and the movement "Every teacher is an example of morality, self-study and creativity”. The university also encouraged cadres and union members to uphold their will and determination to overcome all difficulties and achieve many outstanding achievements. Many sports and cultural activities chaired by the Trade Unions are also interested and actively participated by trade union members such as: Tennis Union of Accounting Faculty, Billiards Prize of Union of Faculty of Business Administration, Football tournament of the Union of the Student Affairs Department in collaboration with the Union of Facilities & Legal Inspector, the Chess competition of the Union of the Training Department, Quality Assurance & Information Technology Department with the Faculty of Statistics - Informatics, the Football Tournament of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Economics. In addition, there are activities organized by the superior Trade Union which is the "5th National Teacher Singing Festival". The university participated and won 02 Gold Medals in Football and Badminton tournament among all universities in Da Nang City in the academic year 2020-2021.vv… It can be said that in the difficult conditions of the epidemic. , The University's Trade Union has made efforts to create many playgrounds for trade union members, contributing to creating excitement after hours of teaching and working, strengthening the spirit of solidarity among departmental unions.

Congratulations on the results achieved in the academic year 2020 - 2021, the Trade Union of the University of Danang has recognized the efforts of the Trade Union of the University of Economics in the context of the epidemic, all officials and employees - employees have united to overcome difficulties to successfully complete the tasks of the school year. Dr. Nguyen Duc Hung emphasized a number of outstanding results such as: ensuring the material and spiritual life for officials and employees, creating many playgrounds and an atmosphere of joy and solidarity in the entire University, supporting online teaching as well as helping divisional unions to solve problems in financial affairs, supporting the community through many activities such as financially supporting flood-affected areas and vaccine fund. "Computer for you" is also the highlight of the School Union.The University Competition in Da Nang City. We hope that the teams of the University of Economics will continue to achieve many outstanding achievements in other major tournaments. Towards Vietnam Teachers' Day, Dr. Nguyen Duc Hung also gives best wishes to all staff and lecturers of the University of Economics - University of Danang and firmly overcomes the epidemic, successfully completing the 2021-2022 school year.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen expressed his pride in the achievements of the School Union. In addition, the School Board also affirmed that it will continue to closely direct and create favorable conditions for professional activities and entertainment of trade union members. In the school year 2021-2022, the University's leaders also expect the University's Trade Union to perform well in professional work, which emphasizes communicating the University's mission, vision, and value system to the whole school. union members; continue to share online teaching experiences in line with the epidemic situation and prepare well for Trade Union Congresses at all levels in the coming time.
