Various activities were held to celebrate the international women’s day (march 8) and honor “ao dai” week

At the ceremony marking the 111th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8) and the 1980th anniversary of the Trung sisters’ uprising, Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen - Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of University Council, presented beautiful flowers and special best wishes to all female employees at The University of Danang, University of Economics. He has also praised the role and quality of Vietnamese women and dramatically honored female employees’ contributions to the university’s overall success over the years. Representing male colleagues, Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen wishes all female employees always to have good health and all the great things in life, continuously promote the tradition of national affairs and duteous at housework.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Trade Union of the University held the event “Ao Dai Week”. Accordingly, female employees were encouraged to dress in Ao dai at work throughout the week and save their best moments with Ao dai on the Trade Union’s Facebook. Launched on the University’s Trade Union fan page, the photo contest on Ao dai attracted women participants and positively impacted the community. The event contributed to honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women in the traditional costume and arousing the pride of and raising the responsibility of women employees for preserving and promoting the traditional national costume.
