The Opening ceremony of the new 2019-2020 academic year – University of Economics, The University of Danang

In the joyful atmosphere of the back-to-school season, on the morning of September 5, 2019, the University of Economics – the University of Danang solemnly organized the opening ceremony of the new 2019-2020 academic year. On behalf of Danang university, attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof Le Thanh Bac - Deputy Director, PhD. Nguyen Duc Hung - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , PhD. Duong Nguyen Minh Huy - Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; representatives of agencies and businesses, representatives of the VNU National Defense and Security training centre – Region 5, Alumni Association sponsored scholarships for the University's students, on the side of the Board of Directors of the University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc.prof Nguyen Manh Toan - Principal, representatives of faculties, departments, centers and a large number of staff, lecturers and students of the University.

During the opening speech to welcome the new school year, Assoc.Prof Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of the University of Economics summarized the achievements of the University in the academic year 2018-2019 and set out the directions and tasks in the academic year 2019-2020. In the last school year, all officers and students of the University continued to be united, democratic, to promote intelligence, and to try their best with a high sense of responsibility to successfully complete the school year. Constantly improving the quality of training, the University of Economics – The University of Danang has made efforts to coordinate with the business community to participate in building, initially implementing the specific training for students of Information Technology and Tourism departments. Enrollment in 2019 has reached 100% of the target, the input quality is quite high compared to the general level of the country. New students of course 45K are very proud and excited to become new members of the University of Economics. Last school year, the University has also cooperated with the University of Danang and the construction contractors, supervising and completing the related procedures of the construction of multi-purpose buildings. Scientific research and international cooperation activities have also achieved many successes with 41 scientific research projects at all levels, including 4 state-level and 6 ministerial-level projects. In the academic year 2018 - 2019, the University of Economics also witnessed the proliferation of scientific articles in journals in the list of ISI, Scopus (32 articles) and other prestigious scientific journals, contributing to improving high status of the University in the field of scientific research. In addition, there are 3 international conferences organized successfully by the University of Economics and Partners, creating prestigious scientific knowledge sharing forums for scientists around the world.

The new school year 2019 - 2020, the school is determined to complete the quality accreditation of 3 training programs according to AUN standards for 3 faculties: Auditing, International Business and Marketing. In addition, the learning environment will be continuously renovated by a positive teaching method, enhancing extracurricular activities, soft skills, social and vocational activities for students. The school continues to give autonomy to the specialized faculties in associating and cooperating with businesses, especially the contingent of experts in the specialized training fields. For the enrollment, the University aims to complete 100% of the targets, disseminate enrollment information on the mass media and the University's information channels, enhance enrollment promotion under the joint training schemes with universities in the world according to the method of training 2 + 2, 3 + 1 and the method of parallel training, increasing the advertisement of postgraduate training programs. At the opening ceremony, the Rector suggested all the staff, lecturers and students to continue their efforts, solidarity and determination to create an advanced learning environment, gradually affirming the position of the University in the Central - Highlands Region and the whole country.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan also congratulated the freshman of the 45th year who was admitted to the University of Economics and hopes that they will be proud, continue to strive to study and train, and continue the achievements of the previous generations to develop your own capacity and ensure future success.

In the new school year, many businesses have joined hands and awarded many scholarships worth hundreds of millions of dong to the University of Economics at the opening ceremony. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dao Huu Hoa - Vice Rector of the school also presented bouquets and certificates of the school for benefactors who have accompanied the cause of study encouragement in recent years.
