Cooperation in transferring Marketing students at Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland

From September 23 to September 30, the delegation of University of Economics includes: Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Toan - Rector of University of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Head of Research & International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Tung - Head of Facility had a trip to Ireland and met with a strategic partner, Cork Institute of Technology. Many important agreements on education cooperation, scientific research, start-up support as well as exchange of experiences in education have been implemented by both parties.

An important agreement was signed during the business trip is to cooperate in transferring students in Marketing major under the form of 2 + 2 in the period of 2018 - 2023. This is an agreement to extend the student transition cooperation between the two universities, which was signed in 2016. The new agreement which has been signed lasts for 5 years, reflecting the trust and prospect of education cooperation, exchange student between Cork Institute of Technology and University of Economics - The University of Da Nang. This is not only a big step for the cooperative relationship between the two universities but also an opportunity to study abroad at the leading prestigious educational address - Ireland for Vietnamese students. In addition, representatives of the two universities also discussed more about scientific research cooperation in the coming time.

As a part of the Vietnam Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE) program, the second phase was signed in November 2017, the delegation also discussed and planned to support student's start-up activities of the two universities in 2019. Accordingly, the startup experts of Cork Institute of Technology keep coming to Vietnam to educate, start-up consult for Vietnamese youth. The seminars and workshops will provide fundamental knowledge about starting a business, meanwhile give wings for the idea to fly further. Representative of Hincks Start-up Center - Dr. Helen McGruirk has been impressive by the projects from the Startup Runway startup competition in recent years. He believes that the competition will be a cradle to nurture daring ideas, to create the entrepreneurial spirit of Vietnamese youth. As the result of discussion, Cork Institute of Technology will encourage their students to take part in Statup Runway 2019 in order to increase the competitive nature and create the exchange atmosphere, start-up experience sharing between students of 2 countries Ireland – Vietnam.

Một trong những hoạt động quan trọng của đoàn công tác là chuyến tham quan cơ sở thực hành du lịch, marketing, cơ sở vật chất của Học viện Công nghệ Cork và tham dự Ngày hội việc làm. Phía DUE rất ấn tượng với chương trình giảng dạy đặc sắc cũng như cơ sở hạ tầng, trang thiết bị phục vụ cho công tác giảng dạy, đào tạo ngành Du lịch, Marketing của Học viện Cork. Trường Đại học Kinh tế cũng đã xây dựng khu thực hành Du lịch đẳng cấp 5 sao và khu thực hành Marketing hiện đại và đây sẽ là những kinh nghiệm quý báu đề DUE học hỏi, tiếp tục cải tiến cơ sở vật chất trong thời gian tới.

Chuyến công tác của đoàn Trường Đại học Kinh tế - Đại học Đà Nẵng đã diễn ra thành công tốt đẹp với nhiều thỏa thuận được ký kết cùng với những phương hướng hợp tác được 2 bên nhất trí cao. Hi vọng trong tương lai, sẽ có thêm nhiều chương trình liên kết đào tạo, cơ hội khởi nghiệp dành cho sinh viên DUE từ mối quan hệ hợp tác tốt đẹp giữa Trường Đại học Kinh tế - Đại học Đà Nẵng và Học viện Công nghệ Cork.
