1. PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
1.1 Programme introduction
Undergraduate programme in e-commerce has been applied in the University of Economics (UD-DUE) since 2014. The programme design conforms to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The current programme was updated and adjusted based on the 2014 programme which is effective from 2018 intake. The E-commerce programme includes 134 credits besides national defence education and physical education courses with a normal study duration of 4 years. However, students may complete the programme within 3 years to 6 years according to their ability and study conditions.
Undergraduate programme in e-commerce is managed by the e-commerce Division, under UD-DUE’s Faculty of E-commerce. The programme is conducted by high quality academic staff who graduated from international high-ranked universities such as the UK, Australia, France and so on. Infrastructure has been invested and upgraded to support for teaching and researching. The Faculty is striving for becoming the leading training centre in the field of e-commerce in Central Vietnam and Central Highlands, and becoming a reputable training institution which is widely recognised in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia.

1.3 Programme objectives (POs)
Graduates from e-commerce programme after working for 3-4 years will:
● Experts in state management agencies and business companies on e-commerce;
● Consultants in organizations of e-commerce solutions to support business for companies in digital environments;
● E-commerce researchers and lecturers in research and training organizations;
● Founding member of innovative start-up projects for e-commerce applications.
● Engage in lifelong learning to thrive well in an increasingly demanding and complex world of work.
1.4 Programme learning outcomes (PLOs)
Upon completion of the e-commerce programme, students will be able to:
PLO1. Understand the basic principles and laws of political theory, law, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities at the university level.
PLO2. Apply fundamental knowledge of economics, business and management to solve practical issues.
PLO3. Analyze issues related to the actual situation of e-commerce in Vietnam and the world
PLO4. Deploy solutions for e-commerce operations effectively in enterprises and socio-political organizations and ensure information security regulations.
PLO5. Utilize e-commerce techniques and tools to support online business operations of companies.
PLO6. Build companies’ online business plan based on business ideas and business models
PLO7. Perform communicative and interpersonal competence in a professional working environment.
PLO8. Develop personal and social skills in the pursuit of career and life goals.
PLO9. Demonstrate a high commitment to sustainability and high ethical standards in social practices.
1.5. Career Outcome
Bachelor degree in e-commerce, University of Economics, UD, focuses on equipping online customer interaction management, customer data analysis, designing and implementing e-commerce solutions, and operational management of e-commerce systems. The program also provides learners with system thinking capabilities, personal and social skills to ensure good practice in different job positions in e-commerce organizations.
