Academic conference “50 years of implementing president Ho Chi Minh’s testament”

With the purpose of creating a forum for scholars to analyze, discuss and specify the historical meaning of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament, on the morning of 17th May, 2019, University of Economics conducted the Academic Conference “50 Years of Implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament”. The conference gathered lecturers and scholars from Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, University of Science and Education and University of Economics – The University of Danang.


In her speech, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh (PhD) – Vice-rector of University of Economics emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh’s testament was an important document to the Revolution, reflecting the life and careers of President Ho Chi Minh as well as His thoughts. Through the conference, DUE hoped that the scholars focused on specifying the ideology of President Ho Chi Minh in His testament and applying these thoughts in fighting against corruption in politics and morals as well as fostering the young generation; contributing to the political missions of the University.

In the report to start the conference, Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Anh (PhD) – University of Economics specified the theoretical and practical meaning of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament. For instance, the Testament is the will, feelings, faith and responsibilities of President Ho Chi Minh toward our Nation, people and the Revolution. As for the theoretical values, the Testament is a work of theories on the building of ruling Party as well as a writing about building the Socialist in Vietnam and reforming our nation. The conference was an occasion for the scholars to review, analyze and figure out the spiritual values and practical meaning of the Testament.

So as to clarify the topic, 4 papers from the scholars of DUE were discussed at the conference, including: “The ideology of solidarity in President Ho Chi Minh’s testament” of Dr. Lam Ba Hoa; “Political Culture in the work “Testament” of President Ho Chi Minh of Dr. Pham Huy Thanh; “President Ho Chi Minh’s testament and the building and improving of Party” of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Anh; “The importance of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament and the applying of the Testament in teaching Ho Chi Minh’s Thoughts of MSc. Le Thi Ngoc Hoa.

The scholars also shared their opinions and discussed about applying the values of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament in reality and in teaching and researching.
