The seminar: “Intellectual property rights in technology business and patent registration procedure"

On May 3, The University of Economics – The University of Danang in collaboration with Vietnam National Office of Intellectual Property - Representative Office in Da Nang City organized a scientific conference "Intellectual Property Rights in technology Business and patent registration procedures”. Attending the seminar, there are MA. Ngo Phuong Tra - Deputy Head in charge of the Representative Office of Intellectual Property Department in Da Nang; on the side of the University of Economics with the presence of Associate Professor. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen - Vice Rector of the University, representative of the Faculty of Law, E-Commerce Faculty, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Statistics - Informatics, representatives of Research and Teaching Groups and teachers and students.

Opening the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Khoi Nguyen emphasized that the seminar is an opportunity for scientists, managers, and business organizations to exchange, discuss and deeply understand intellectual property rights in technology business as well as patent registration process and procedures. Through academic exchange activities on intellectual property rights, the University of Economics hopes the parties are interested in removing problems related to practical application of intellectual property rights in technology-business activities.

At the seminar, representative of Intellectual Property Department in Da Nang - MSc. Ngo Phuong Tra also thanked the University of Economics for coordinating to organize scientific exchange activities between lecturers and students of the University with scientists in the city of Da Nang. The representative of the Department loves to see lecturers and students be more interested and understand the regulations on intellectual property rights, especially the patent registration process, contributing to promoting innovation activities and entrepreneurial business which are very active, popular in Da Nang city and Vietnam in general.

Lecturers, students and scientists have been in-depth understanding of intellectual property rights and its subjects in technology business as well as patent registration.

The representative office of the National Office of Intellectual Property in Da Nang also presented the process and documents of patent registration to ensure the interests of the authors, especially the students. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc - specialist of Representative Office of Intellectual Property Department in Da Nang, the process of processing patent registration documents includes: receiving applications, appraising forms, publishing and appraising contents, notifying results. In addition, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc announced the patent application procedures, a few notes when setting up a description and address to complete patent registration.
